Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
