Illegal Transport Methods

Regarding inquiries concerning why criminals use a approach that remains highly susceptible to weather factors rather than simpler to operate drones, authorities explained that "Weather devices are rudimentary tools used by contraband transporters - they are less expensive than drones for moving tobacco products from Belarus."

Border Protection Aims

Representatives further stated that "The objective of our agencies is to seize the largest possible amounts of illegal goods and to apprehend coordinators and participants so that this activity become unprofitable and do not pose risk to civil aviation."

Such border infiltrations occur during a period of increased concerns in Europe following various aerial device infiltrations that have created aviation problems across the continent.

Similar occurrences in neighboring countries have led European authorities to accelerate discussions about strengthening air defences throughout the region.
